First of all, I wanted to quickly announce that our meetup's membership has almost reached 200. This is a great milestone in such a short time. I am also well aware that quantity does not mean quality but I am happy to state that the caliber of people that have been attending our meetup is phenomenal. Thank you all for spreading the word, for your participation and lively discussions - it is your Health 2.0 NYC Chapter!!!

Call to Action

In order to make this Chapter productive and make the most impact please participate in the following 2 polls:

Poll #1 - Do you like the current meetup format (1. networking, 2 presentations, 3 activity)?
Poll #2 - Would you be interested in joining a sub-group of this metup (we had suggestions to become active in public policy, to build prototypes, to bring more venture-focused organizations in etc)?

Brief Recap of May 7th Health 2.0 NYC Chapter Meetup

We were supposed to have 3 presenters (a) Phreesia (b) Halo Monitoring (c) DrChrono
DrChrono could not make it but for a very good reason - they got mentioned on Marketplace (NPR) as a healthcare stimulus play and their phone has been ringing off the hook. We are obviously more forgiving then the press! Good luck guys and hope to see your product soon.

Phreesia Presentation
Phreesia did an excellent job taking us through the business value, patient value and the technology of the product. Thank you Scott and Michael - well coordinated navigation :)

All, please provide constructive feedback to the Phreesia team here

Halo Monitoring Presentation
Halo Monitoring is a consumer healthcare company focused on serving independently living seniors.
It is "I am falling and I can't get up 2.0" :) - but I see other significant uses for their technology for proactive treatments

I rushed Chirag through some of the technical details but everyone seemed impressed with the technology and its application as it pertains to their target market.

Given the presentation time constraints, Chirag was kind enough to post his slides for us to review in more detail
Please provide feedback to Chirag here

What is Patient Empowerment?

Lynn Nezin did a wonderful job running our brainstorming session on Patient Empowerment and she will be posting a summary of our discussion separately as well as next actionable steps.

What is your expectation from this meetup?

Please comment here

Dan Kogan, CEO of HealthWorldWeb asked the members to spend 10 seconds and describe what their expectations are! Great idea Dan!

Once again we want to thank our sponsors PRNewswire and HealthWorldWeb and looking forward to seeing everyone on June 11th.

Thanks, Eugene Borukhovich
