Welcome to the Health 2.0 NYC blog You have probably seen the very popular meetup group pages but this is the permanent online home for the group, a place just to talk about ideas. A little history: Eugene Borukovich started this group back in 2008. In 2010 he asked me (Alex) to help run it. We created events like Pitch Yourself in the Shark Tank and others that attracted a diverse group of leaders, thinkers, and creators of innovation in healthcare. The group has grown to over 1,300 members, most of whom are in New York. Who we are: Our members a Entrepreneurs, Patient Advocates, Physicians, Administrators, IT folks, Marketers, Strategic Planners, Attorneys, Students, Designers, Bloggers, Programmers, and Investors. When I look around a Health 2.0 event and speak to people I am impressed by two things: the equalizing nature of showing up at a meetup where you can have a world famous neurosurgeon chatting amiably with a rock star programmer - and neither knowing who the other is, and the passion of the individuals involved. We all are coming to see, seek, and create the future of healthcare like an army of Lilliputians trying to capture the giant. With clever tools, numbers, and drive, we are doing just that. We welcome you to join our meetup group or browse through and discuss topics important to you. Any Member is welcome to submit a blog post or to cross-post relevant material to this blog. Please contact our communications leader, Andrea Spillman, MPH to do so. Thank you for visiting today.
